"Kent Dance is so much more than just a society for creative people to come together and share their love and passion for dance and performing; it really does feel like a family. The interactivity of the committee with every dance member ensures the society is close and connected. Everyone ends up knowing everyone which means that, not only will you end up with lots of friends, but you are guaranteed to see a familiar face on campus or in town pretty much every day, which is a nice feeling when living away from home. Everything that this society has to offer, I highly recommend that you try at least once. From socials to theatre trips, workshops to competitions, there really is something for everyone. Kent Dance offers unique opportunities to teach and choreograph which are great ways to challenge yourself or develop a skill."

"The Kent Dance Ball is the perfect way to round off the year as it is a chance to get glammed up and look back on the memories you’ve made that year (there will be many!). In my time with KD, I was a show and competition choreographer, jazz captain and one of the social secretaries. These roles highlighted how much I loved dancing and teaching and therefore led me to apply for a Commercial Dance course in London following graduation. It was a great year and a decision that I’m so happy I made with the help of KD. I am now back home teaching Jazz at my local dance school. I hope that I will be back this year to run a workshop and maybe sit in on a rehearsal or two. I can’t wait to meet all the freshers and say hello to some friendly faces!"

"I truly cannot speak highly enough of this society and the good times, amazing memories and close friends it gave me. I will always look back fondly on the late night rehearsals, road trips to competitions and the classic Venue dance offs! If you sign up, I can promise you that your time with Kent Dance will create some of your best university memories."

"There is no other way to put it than, the absolute highlight of my university career. The friendships, the joy and the love for dance. Kent Dance was the best thing in my life for 3 years."
